Renolit PVC Membrane Installer Academy by A3P
Pre-Training Webinar + 3-Days of Hands-on Training
Renolit is a $5 billion global manufacturer headquartered in Germany and the worldwide leader in PVC membrane pool finishes. Their Alkorplan membrane system is the most widely used reinforced PVC membrane in the world — trusted across Europe, and now gaining traction in the U.S. Renolit offers reinforced membrane options in 60 mil, 70 mil, and 80 mil thicknesses. We're one of the first authorized Renolit training centers in the country.
What Happens Over 3 Days
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Before you arrive, you'll complete a pre-training webinar that covers the classroom material: tools and equipment, surface preparation, measuring and layout planning, membrane selection, cutting, and estimating and quoting jobs. That frees up your three days in Springfield for hands-on welding. Day 1 starts with setting up the LEISTER welder, a surface preparation demo, installing the geotextile padding and mounting anchors, then moves into overlap and butt welds at trainer-guided welding stations. Day 2 builds on that with steps, benches and corners, butt-welding the pool floor, fitting gaskets around penetrations for retrofits, and hands-on inspection of seams for watertightness. On Day 3 you put it all together: you plan, cut, place and weld a membrane installation that the trainer grades, then get one-on-one feedback and a plan for the next steps toward installer certification.
